Giving back
What a big year is actually for.
Fairway runs two nonprofits funded by its own people, with the company paying the overhead so every donated dollar reaches someone who needs it. Oliver’s team supports both — and gives their time, not just their money.
Veterans & first responders
American Warrior Initiative
Fairway’s own 501(c)(3) for veterans, active-duty military and first responders. Service dogs, business and family grants, home repairs and retreats — funded by Fairway employees, with Fairway underwriting the overhead so donations go to the warriors.
AWI’s signature work is service dogs. A trained dog can change — and in the words of more than one recipient, save — the life of a veteran living with the lasting effects of service. AWI also funds business grants, family grants, home renovations and retreats, and runs Red Friday to keep deployed service members in the public eye.

Illness, trauma & loss
Fairway Cares
Fairway’s nonprofit for anyone in the Fairway family’s circle facing a critical illness, a physical trauma or the loss of a loved one. Personalized care packages with a handwritten note, and financial-assistance grants — funded by Fairway employees since 2016.
It starts with a Fairway employee who knows someone going through the worst stretch of their life — a client, a neighbor, a family member. A request goes in; a package tailored to that person goes out, with a handwritten note inside. Sometimes it’s a blanket and a book. Sometimes it’s a check that keeps the lights on. Oliver’s team also runs in Pacing for Packages, the summer fundraiser that funds the next round.
Why it’s on this site
Humility first isn’t a slogan if it costs nothing.
Fairway’s first core value is humility. The easiest way to fake it is to put the word on a wall. The harder way is to take a record year and point it at people who will never be clients — veterans who need a service dog, a family in the middle of chemo, a kid who just lost a parent.
That’s the part of the job the scoreboard doesn’t show, and the part Oliver would rather you remember.

Basketball camps
Oliver volunteers teaching basketball camps in his hometown. Fewer press releases than a gala; same idea — show up, give the kids the reps, go home.
The American Warrior Initiative and Fairway Cares are independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations operated by Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation and funded primarily by its employees. This website does not solicit or collect donations; links go directly to each organization, which handles its own giving and privacy practices. Supporting either organization is never a condition of, and has no effect on, any loan.
Ready when you are. No pressure, no pitch.
Text Oliver the question you actually have. You’ll get a straight answer from the person who’ll be on your file — and if the honest answer is “not yet,” you’ll hear that too.
